TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Here listed are the terms and conditions for Mountain Lets which apply to all bookings made with the company. We aim to provide excellent service from your initial booking to your departure from resort and all information provided is given in good faith. If you have questions at any point then please contact us immediately.
All bookings are confirmed by completing the Mountain Lets booking form and on receipt of this booking form along with the non-refundable deposit an agreement is deemed to exist between the company and the sender of the booking form.
Should a booking only be requested in writing/verbally without payment of a Deposit, the booking will be deemed NOT SECURE until Deposit monies are received. Thus, Mountain Lets reserves the right to re-book the same week in the same accommodation to another client without notification
The group leader is responsible for all members listed on the booking form and will be liable for all monies owed and all information required for the booking. The group refers to all persons booked to stay in the accommodation including any name changes from the original booking.
In order to confirm a booking, a non refundable deposit of 25% of the accommodation value is required together with the completed booking form. On receipt of these items Mountain Lets will issue a booking letter and the balance is payable 8 weeks prior to the holiday commence date. If the final balance is not received by this date then the company reserves the right to cancel the booking and re book the accommodation. The price quoted at the time of booking is for accommodation only, unless otherwise stated and Mountain Lets guarantees the price of the holiday quoted and reserves the right to increase or decrease the price of unsold holidays at any time.
The properties are available for access from 4 pm on the day of your arrival and on departure the property must be vacated by 10am. Mountain Lets provide no luggage storage facilities for early arrivals or late check outs.
Acceptable payment types are credit, debit card or internet bank transfer into our French Euro account.
Credit / debit card payments incur a charge of 1% and are taken in Euros on top of the quoted holiday price. Mountain Lets will not be held responsible for charges incurred by yourself for international bank transfer costs or charges imposed on you by your bank or card issuer. This also includes payment discrepancies or additional costs caused by variations in exchange rates used by your bank or card issuer.
Details of a valid credit card will be taken on arrival at the property in resort as security against damage, loss, breakages and additional cleaning charges. These details will be kept for the duration of your stay and by you agreeing to these T & Cs, you are agreeing to allow Mountain Lets to charge that card in Euros in the event of any damages, losses, breakages or additional cleaning charges.
In the event of any issue with your accommodation or reservation Mountain Lets reserve the right to move guests in to a suitable alternative accommodation.
In the event that you should wish to cancel your holiday, you must notify the company immediately. The following cancellation charges shall apply dependant on when the notification is received, charged as % of the total cost of the holiday
More than 8 weeks before arrival date: 25% (deposit)
4-8 weeks before arrival date: 50%
4 weeks or less before arrival date: 100%
Any cancellations should be submitted in writing to email@example.com, non receipt of balance will not be taken as notification of cancellation and clients will still be liable for cancellation charges as shown above.
The company cannot be held responsible in the event of any change or cancellation of any part of your holiday in anyway because of Force Majeure (including; industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, or any other unforeseen circumstances).
It is essential that all people in your booking have suitable travel insurance including personal possessions, documents and equipment. Be careful when you arrange your cover as not all travel insurance provides suitable cover for mountain activities and winter sports.
We reserve the right to recover any costs incurred as a result of breakages, damage to the accommodation or grounds and any other unexpected costs incurred by Mountain Lets whether caused with/without intent by the customer. All guests will be asked to sign a disclaimer on entry to their accommodation acknowledging liability of the group leader to pay these costs in full on behalf of the group. Payment to be made before the groups departure from resort as discussed with the representative.
We do not accept liability or pay compensation for any of the following events;
· loss or damage to property suffered by you,
· any cancellation, loss, delay or costs wheresoever or howsoever arising/connected with adverse weather or traffic conditions, avalanche, mud slips, slides and snow conditions and the effect any of these may have on travel arrangements, accommodation and activities,
· any limitations imposed by resort authorities, ski-lifts, ski school or ski hire operators,
· any travel arrangements made by the group or on behalf of the group,
· any personal injury or death wheresoever or howsoever arising caused to any visitor and/or any member of the group for their duration of stay. This is not intended to exclude any statutory rights the group and/or visitor may have.
This agreement and any proceedings there under are to be governed by French Law.
No matter how much care is taken, our Self Catered Properties are not childproof. Mountain Lets will not be held responsible for any accidents occurring within the properties, it is the parent’s responsibility to ensure their children are supervised at all times. Particular care must be taken with hot tubs, fireplaces, chimneys and stair cases as fire guards and stair gates are not provided.
Mountain Lets can provide high chairs, travel cots and car seats for infants and babies, however except no responsibility should an accident or injury occur as a result of the use of such items. Parents assume full responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of their children at all times.
DAMAGES, BREAKAGES, ADDITIONAL CLEANING
Mountain Lets reserve the right to charge up to €150 Euros for additional cleaning if the following has not been adhered to before departure of a property:
- All rubbish & recycling removed;
- Removal of all food from cupboards and fridges;
- Dishwasher on or emptied;
DO NOT use abrasive cloths or cleaning products in the apartment. Any damage caused to polished or metal surfaces will be charged.
DO NOT dry dark or coloured clothing on radiators, fireplaces or heated towel rails. Any damage caused will be charged for.
Should you lose a standard key to your Self Catered Property, you will be charged €50 for a replacement. Should you lose a security key to your Self Catered Property, you will be charged €150 for a replacement. These charges will be made immediately using the credit / debit card provided at the start of your holiday.
For any additional services guests are required to complete an additional form to be read in conjunction with the extra services price list. These services are at an additional cost and will be confirmed on receipt of cleared funds. If any extra information is required at any stage then contact firstname.lastname@example.org
In the case of unforeseen circumstances such as flight delays, cancellations, lost luggage, adverse weather and road conditions, you may be required to wait in the airport arrivals café area for a maximum of 1 hour. If you are travelling in a smaller party, you may also be required to wait at the airport for a maximum of one hour, alternatively a private transfer can be arranged for an additional charge.
For your return journey, it may be necessary for us to allow up to 5 hours to transport you safely to the airport, due to adverse weather conditions.
All guests should act and behave in such a manner as to not affect or disrupt the enjoyment of other guests or the local residents including excessive noise inside the property.
In the unlikely event of you having a complaint with any part of your holiday you should notify Mountain Lets immediately either by telephone, email or via a resort representative. Any complaints made after departure will not be considered. Complaints cannot be accepted for snow conditions, childcare, weather, lessons and closures of ski – lifts. Any grievance with a third party service should be taken up with the provider directly.
It is important that, for your comfort, a pair of slippers or indoor shoes are included in your packing as ALL outdoor shoes, which include ski and snowboard boots, mountain biking shoes and cycling shoes are strictly forbidden anywhere inside the Self Catered Property and the internal communal areas.
All outdoor equipment, which includes but is not limited to mountain bikes, skis and snowboards, dirty, soiled or extremely wet clothing, must be stored in the designated area as provided by Mountain Lets on arrival.
Under no circumstance is the repair or maintenance and cleaning of such outdoor equipment, as stated above, allowed within the internal space of the property including terraces, balconies and garden areas. This also includes waxing of skis or snowboards in winter.
